With about 2,400 Police Officers within the force, Malta’s Police is one of the oldest in Europe. Specifically selected and trained, SIU members are the country last resort in critical operations like hostage situations, barricaded subjects, drug traffickers arrests or dignitaries security. They are given intensive technical training and regularly exchange with other foreign tactical units.
